Sage Education is a leading provider of world-class First Aid training from beginner to advance level. We provide Nationally Recognised first aid training courses across the southeast region.
All of our first aid courses are delivered in two parts. A study from home (online pre-assessment) part that you will complete before coming to class and a face-to-face training part to practice essential skills.

FIRST AID – HLTAID011 Provide first aid (also known as Senior first aid or level 2)

- Complete an online assessment before attending the face to face course on the day – approximately 1:30 hours
- Complete face to face practical skills training and assessment – approximately 5 hours

CHILD CARE FIRST AID – HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

Frequently Asked Questions
Is First Aid training government funded?
No. First Aid, CPR and Childcare First Aid courses aren’t subsidised by the Queensland Government, so all students pay the course fee shown. Group bookings for workplaces are available — talk to us about a session for your team.
How long is my certificate valid?
Industry guidance is to renew HLTAID011 and HLTAID012 every 3 years, and HLTAID009 CPR every 12 months. Many care and education employers require current CPR annually.
Which one do I need?
CPR (HLTAID009) if your employer only requires current CPR. Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) for most workplaces and aged care or disability roles. Education and care first aid (HLTAID012) if you work — or plan to work — in childcare, kindergarten or school age care.
What do I need to bring on the day?
Photo ID, your USI (Unique Student Identifier), comfortable clothes you can kneel in, and your completed online pre-assessment. Water and snacks are a good idea — the longer sessions run through lunch.
Where are the face-to-face sessions?
At our Logan Central centre, 4/80 Wembley Road. Sessions run regularly — call 1300 33 83 83 or enquire below for the next date.
Can you run a session for my workplace?
Yes. We run group first aid and CPR sessions for employer teams on request, at Logan Central or at your workplace where facilities allow. Ask us about group pricing.
When do I get my certificate?
Your Statement of Attainment is issued digitally — usually within a few business days of your face-to-face session — once your online and practical assessments are marked competent.
