Can I get a government subsidy?

Yes, if you meet the below eligibility criteria:

  • Must be living Queensland
  • Have Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in the health care industry
  • Must be employed in the health care industry as a support worker, community worker etc

 

Do I need to complete vocational placement?

No. Vocational placement is not required. However, you must be employed in the healthcare industry.

When can I start?

We run one day face to face classes in Logan Central and Kippa-ring every month. Please get in touch with us to find out when is the next one.

How long does it take to complete this course?

You can complete all theory and practical demonstrations in one day. However, you may need to complete some part of the theory assessment at home if you cannot finish it in the classroom. You may also require to complete a third-party observation report by a Registered Nurse from your organisation. We can assist you in completing your observation report in class if you do not work under a Registered Nurse.
