The Certificate IV in Ageing Support enables you to empower and encourage seniors and older individuals in the community, to live more productive and satisfying lives associated with positive ageing. The valuable skills and knowledge you will obtain from this course, will enhance your career in caring for clients in their own homes or in aged care facilities. This qualification is ideal for existing workers in the aged care industry who are looking at upskilling.

Yes, you can. We currently deliver this course under the Higher Level Skills Program funded by the Queensland government. However, you must be employed in the care industry to be able to use government funding for this course.
If you’re not employed in the relevant industry, we will organise your vocational placement. However, if you’re already employed in the relevant industry then you may not need to complete the vocational placement. We will assess your circumstances at the time of enrolment.
No, we do not guarantee a job. However, there is a huge demand for workers in this industry and it is likely that you will secure employment.
