Course Description

This qualification is ideal for the people who want to develop their career in the community service industry. Workers in the Community Service sector are the individuals who care for us; our children, our elderly and the disabled. This course is ideal for the people who are currently employed in the aged care industry and are looking at enhancing their career and employment to the next level. It also suits the people that are looking at changing their career or new entrants.

Entry Requirements:

There are no entry requirements for this course; however, it is recommended that you:

  • are at least 18 Years old
  • have sound language and literacy skills
  • must be employed in a regulated aged, disability or community centre
  • must be able to obtain a federal police check

Course Delivery Structure:

Mode of Study: Self-paced Online

This is a full-time program delivered over a maximum period of 30 weeks.

  • You are required to complete 100 hours of vocational placement

Can I get a government subsidy?

No you can’t. We are not approved to deliver this course under any government subsidised program at the moment.

Who will organise my vocational placement?

If you’re already employed in the relevant industry then we may be able to use your current and previous workhours as placement hours. If not, we will organise your vocational placement when you’re ready do so. You have to complete in class practical skills training before you can be placed.

Do you guarantee a job?

No we do not guarantee job. However, there is a huge demand for workers in this industry and it is likely that you will secure employment.

How long does it take to complete this course?

The total duration of this course is 20 weeks including 100 hours of vocational placement. However, the duration will change if you’re already employed in a relevant industry.
