CHCDIS007 – Facilitate the empowerment of people with disability

CHCDIS008 – Facilitate community participation and social inclusion
This unit offers the expertise needed to develop and implement strategies for community participation in various settings to improve the mental and physical well-being of a person with disability.
CHCDIS009 – Facilitate ongoing skills development using a person-centred approach
This unit will teach you the essential skills needed to plan and nurture formal and informal ongoing skills development in cooperation with a person with disability.
CHCDIS010 – Provide person-centred services to people with disability with complex needs
This unit will provide the knowledge required to provide comprehensive support to individuals with complex, diverse needs.
CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people
This unit offers the essential expertise needed to work with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
CHCLEG003 – Manage legal and ethical compliance
This unit describes the core skills needed to understand, research and comply with legislative and ethical responsibilities.
HLTAAP001 – Recognise healthy body systems
This unit teaches a fundamental understanding of the human anatomy and how to maintain healthy functioning of the body.
HLTWHS002 – Follow safe work practices for direct client care
This unit offers the skills and knowledge needed to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.

This unit will provide you with the core skills and practical knowledge required to support daily activities in response to an individual’s physical and mental personal support requirements.
CHCDIV002 – Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety
This unit offers the skills needed to identify Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety issues in the workplace and develop the necessary strategies to mitigate those issues.
CHCADV001 – Facilitate the interests and rights of clients
This unit teaches the knowledge required to help clients understand their rights. You’ll also learn how to help clients voice their concerns and realise their best interests.
